Can you rebuild my failed transmission for performance instead of rebuilding it back to stock?
Yes. If the transmission already needs rebuilding, tell us how the vehicle is modified and how you use it. We can discuss a performance-oriented or heavy-duty rebuild instead of automatically treating the job like a stock replacement.
Can you upgrade a transmission that is still working?
Potentially. Depending on the transmission and goal, customers may be interested in targeted upgrades such as a torque converter, cooling, valve body/hydraulic components, clutch/friction components, hard parts or control-related work. The correct approach depends on the application and condition of the unit.
Do you build 4L60E, 4L80E, 68RFE, Allison, 6R80 and 10R80 transmissions?
Those are examples of commonly searched performance and heavy-duty transmission families. Call with the exact vehicle and transmission so we can confirm the application and discuss available build or upgrade options.
Can I request a specific torque converter, valve body, clutch or other performance part?
Yes. Tell us what component or brand you have in mind. We can discuss using the requested part when appropriate or recommend a comparable alternative based on the transmission and goal.
What is the difference between a towing build and a race build?
The intended use changes the priorities. Vehicle weight, trailer load, power delivery, converter behavior, heat, gearing and driving conditions can all influence the combination. We do not assume the same parts are correct for every performance application.
Should I add an external transmission cooler?
It can be a useful upgrade on some towing, performance and heavy-duty applications, but the correct cooling strategy depends on the factory system, transmission and use. We can inspect the application and discuss the appropriate approach.
